Kittening Tips

🐱 First and foremost, no one is above kittening. And, not everyone is built for kittening. It’s a tough job that requires a lot of focus, detailed attention, self management, and a bit of hard labor. Here are some tips to help you be a successful kitten!

🐱 Get to the venue on time or early, mostly ready! Ideally hair and make up are done, you just need to change into your kitten fit. Start getting performers notes IMMEDIATELY and well before doors open. The performers may need to walk you through something on stage and you can’t do that once doors are open.

🐱 Bonus Tip - Do not claim a whole spot backstage, you don’t need it. You won’t be there all night. Just change and tuck your belongings somewhere safe.

🐱 PERFORM those kitten duties! Don’t just waddle lazily out on stage and pick things up as though you’re bothered to do the job (unless it’s an intentional bit). Perform! How many ways can you pick up items sexily or set up items with some tease? How many times can you sneak a bit of comedy into your job? Have fun with it babe!

🐱 Don’t be afraid to get clarification on notes! Don’t be afraid to ask for help! Have the performer show you exactly where they want the chair. Have someone help you hang the aerial apparatus. Yes, this is your job, but if you need help, ask for it. Your success is our success, and our safety.

🐱 Watch every performer like a hawk! 1. To keep track of flying costumes. 2. To learn! Yes you’re getting paid to be the stripper picker upper, but you’re also getting paid to learn! Take advantage of that and soak up all the things you see.

🐱 Rock an epic look for the night AND make sure you can move in it! Shoes, dress, headpiece, whatever. You have to be able to stand, walk, run, bend, left heavy stuff, get on the floor, and climb ladders in it.

🐱 REMEMBER HOW IMPORTANT YOU ARE! The work of the kitten is vital to the success of the performers and the show. We need you! We appreciate you! We love you! Don’t forget that. 🙏🏼❤️✨💋🐱
